Whole Foods Market teamed up with Silver Lining Catering to give your Florida Panthers Hockey Team and recruits, including NHL 2012- 2013 Rookie of the Year, Jonathon Huberdeau, healthy eating tips, cooking lessons and very delicious recipes – The Ultimate HAT TRICK.

Maintaining a healthy diet is of the utmost importance for these high caliber athletes. Silver Lining wanted to show these young players how sim- ple and delicious eating healthy can actually be. The Silver Lining Gour- met Team and Whole Foods Team provided them with hands on cooking lessons, with recipes ranging from California Quinoa Salad and Garlic Kale to creative and healthy spins on classic dishes such as Jerk Chicken Kabobs and Teriyaki Beef.

Please note all of the players achieved their eating goals without spending any time in the penalty box

“These young athletes were pleasantly surprised,” said Silver Lining’s Executive Chef Robert Grant. “Going from a diet heavy in fast food to one that is full of fresh and nutritious foods can be difficult for professional athletes who are always traveling. That is why it was important for The Panthers to experience how easy and delicious eating healthy can actually be.”
